The company "Cooperativa Agrícola de Rute" was founded in 1949. It is constituted by more of a thousand members who labour a surface up to 5.000 hectares off olive plantation of the variety called "hojiblanca".

The oil of this variety is characterized by its soft acidity tasting that it very appreciated by the consumers, has a high E vitamin content and an enough resistance to rarefaction.

The "Cooperativa Agrícola de Rute" commercializes the extra virgin olive oil under the trademark "Hércules", in individual glass packages of 0,25 L and 0,75 L. of capacity, as well as in 5 L carafes.

Our oil, our olive trees plantations, land and nature, were already part of the Mediterranean culture 2000 years ago. Thousand of amphoras left Cordova each season. They traveled by the Betis river until reaching the sea or else took the Augusta channel way to Galia. It was the best route of the Hispanic Betica and the final section of the great via called Herculana which crossed Europe following the legendary way done by Hercules during his trip towards the Esperides garden.

Today as then, we continue producing the best olive oil of the world. "Hercules" trademark oil is processed with the variety of the olive called hojiblanca that gives to us an oil of soft and sweet flavor. The low acidity of our oil shows that the fruit is collected in optimal conditions. "Hercules" has been obtainied by using a system of continuous centrifugetion, the most modern and hygienic way to obtain the olive's juice.
